The Government of India’s Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) launched a ‘demonstration programme’ whose objective was to connect solar power plants at the tail-end of the grid for providing voltage support to strengthen the grid and to provide additional power for day time use. Rajasthan Renewable Energy Corporation (RREC), being the nodal agency to promote renewable energy in the state of Rajasthan, set up 1 MWp Solar Power plant at village Phagi, District Jaipur under the above programme. iPLON was responsible for installing remote monitoring system at the solar plant for monitoring and control of its performance.
